Completed an operational readiness review of new offices in Boston, Massachusetts for Morley Fund Management.
Martin Stevens undertook a status/project readiness audit as the scheme entered the construction fit-out stage in the client’s new premises; reconciling space plans, office environment, communications and technology commitments with business need.
The space plan review identified shortcomings between requirements and the contracted scope of work as well as security and infrastructure concerns. Recommendations were made to improve space allocation, including the re-designing of staff welfare and communications/machine room spaces.
Whilst “in territory”; amendments to the construction scope were agreed with the client and their US design consultants and terms re-negotiated with the contractor.
A risk analysis was also undertaken to inform the business continuity and disaster recovery strategy for subsequent consideration by client specialists.
Guidance was given to the US team with respect to progress and quality monitoring as the build phase commenced and we provided “hand-holding” support to the US team, remotely from London, throughout the remainder of the project until close-out was achieved
